Back in my girlhood (yes, Virginia, I was young once too), you were lucky if you accidentally stumbled across one or two other people who a) knew who Jane Austen was; and b) liked to read her books.
But nowadays you just hop on that newfangled Internet I’ve been hearing so much about lately and you can happen across this: Meetup.com’s Jane Austen section.
On offer are book groups, dance groups, and one Washington D.C. organization with the promising name “Desserts with Jane.”
Kids today don’t know how easy they have it.
