Admittedly, painting Jane Austen onto your fingernails does not demonstrate the level of permanent devotion – not to mention the superior pain threshold – of Alethea White-Previs, a Virginia Janeite whose impressive yet terrifying Austen tattoos can be seen here, on the Among the Janeites Facebook page.
Still, it’s a good start. A mani-pedi booth at the next Jane Austen Society of North America conference, anyone?
